Alexandra-Maria-Lara

Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is a Romanian actor and TV host. She's best known as the lead in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control as well as Rush. The only child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareu. Alexandra started her showbiz career from a young age. When she was 16, Alexandra had landed prominent roles in a variety of television dramas. Her critically-acclaimed performance in the film made for television Der Tunnel paved way for other notable roles including Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudl Junge in the critically and commercially popular Oscar nominated historical war drama film Downfall. The Reader is another Oscar nominated film that features this stunning actress. Alexandra is known for her involvement in many important projects in both the US as well as internationally. They include the British biographical films Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time as well as the French historic miniseries Napoleon among others. She has also been an official juror for the Transylvania International Film Festival as well as The Cannes Film Festival.
